We are seeking a skilled and experienced Piping/Mechanical Inspector (QA-QC) with over 10 years of experience in piping and pressure vessel inspections to join our client's site in Corpus Christi, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of piping systems and pressure vessels, providing critical inspection services, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform piping and mechanical inspections on various projects, including pressure vessels, piping systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections in accordance with API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspection) and API 570 (Piping Inspection) standards to assess the integrity, functionality, and compliance of systems.
- Collaborate with the project team to verify the quality, safety, and compliance of piping and pressure vessel installations.
- Document findings and non-conformances, preparing detailed inspection reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Review and interpret inspection data, drawings, specifications, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and standards.
- Provide quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) oversight for both in-house and subcontractor work.
- Monitor compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality assurance programs.
- Conduct visual inspections, thickness testing, pressure testing, and other non-destructive testing (NDT) methods as necessary.
- Ensure all inspection activities are conducted in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications:
- CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) Certification
- API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector) Certification
- API 570 (Piping Inspector) Certification
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in piping and pressure vessel inspections.
- In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards, including ASME, API, ANSI, and other relevant codes.
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection reports.
- Proven experience in conducting inspections using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams.
